Sylvia is not just a brand name; she is the soul of our kitchen. Shaped by classical training at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, and driven by a detail-oriented obsession, Sylvia embodies a pastry philosophy that values precision without intimidation.
From a Pound Cake to Paris
The journey began in a simple kitchen, with a pound cake recipe passed down by a mother to a teenager. Curiosity turned into experimentation, and experimentation turned into a calling. Years of training and exposure to European pastry culture revealed a gap back home: India needed access to thoughtfully made, technically sound, high-end pastries.
Coming Home
Returning to Bangalore felt natural. We wanted to build something rooted yet elevated for a city with an evolving palate. Sylvia’s Patisserie was born to bring the discipline of French pastry into the warmth of Indian homes.
